Turning 10 Years of Impact Into a Storytelling System

For its 10-year anniversary, The Cornerstone of Beaver County needed more than a recap video. They needed to make a decade of programs, partnerships, data and human impact understandable—and give funders, public officials and the community a reason to continue investing.

The Challenge

Cornerstone had a powerful story, but it was complex.

Over time, Beaver County's response to homelessness had evolved from fragmented services into a more coordinated system of prevention, housing, shelter and community support. The challenge was showing what changed, why it mattered and who benefited—while also challenging misconceptions about who can experience homelessness.

The Strategy

We started with the story, not the cameras.

Together with Cornerstone, we identified the narrative behind the anniversary, mapped the voices needed to tell it and developed interviews across leadership, staff, partners, public officials, volunteers and people with lived experience.

Stories like Ka'Nesha's and Robert's made the larger system personal—showing how quickly a housing crisis can happen and what becomes possible when the right infrastructure is already in place.

What We Built

One production. Multiple long-term assets.

We captured approximately 15–20 interviews, original documentary footage and aerial imagery across Beaver County.

From that material, we created:

  • A flagship 10-year anniversary documentary

  • A library of interviews and stories organized for future use

  • Material for short-form storytelling, fundraising, education, advocacy and community awareness

  • A media foundation Cornerstone can continue drawing from long after the anniversary

The Value

Cornerstone reports that 7,481 people turned to the organization during its first decade during homelessness or housing-related crises. Our job was to help make the meaning behind numbers like that visible, human and understandable.

The anniversary ended.

The content didn't.

Instead of investing in one video that lives once, Cornerstone now has a body of stories and media that can continue supporting fundraising, public education, donor engagement and future campaigns.

We didn't just help Cornerstone tell the story of its first ten years. We helped build the media foundation for telling the next ten.
